How to reach us
By ship
Hvar is connected with land by ships arriving from port in Split and the surrounding area:
- Ferry line Split-Stari Grad/Stari Grad-Split: daily
- Ferry line Drvenik-Suauraj/Suauraj-Drvenik: daily
During summer season, ferry lines sail more frequently.

From the island of Hvar, respectively the port in Stari Grad ferry line Rijeka-Zadar-Split-Stari Grad-Koreula-Dubrovnik-Bari sails three times a week, also the international fast-ship line (sails daily) Pescara-Stari Grad-Split as well as the international ferry line (twice a week) Ancona-Stari Grad-Split-Koreula.

By plane
Split airport is closest to Hvar. The airport organizes transfer of passengers to the port of Split leaving every 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the port in Split, further information on sailing schedule for regular lines sailing to Hvar can be obtained in the agency of Jadrolinija.
In case there is no direct flight from your destination to Split, then you may organize a flight over Zagreb (www.zagreb-airport.hr) hat has good connections with Split.
By car
There are two ferry ports for cars on the island of Hvar, and these are in Stari Grad and Suauraj. The port in Stari Grad has great connections with Split, and the ride from the port Stari Grad to Ivan Dolac takes only 20 minutes.
The port in Suauraj is relatively close to Drvenik on mainland, but is also more remote from Ivan Dolac due to the fact that it is situated on the other side of the island. This connection is time-saving for the tourists coming from the direction of Dubrovnik.
The nearest gas pump for cars is Jelsa, it takes about 15 minutes to reach it by car from Ivan Dolac.

By bus
The nearest main bus station is in Split (www.ak-split.hr) and it is situated right next to the ferry port. Split is well connected with all bus destinations in Europe.
By train
All cities in Croatia are connected by train. Croatia has direct connections to Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia and Montenegro, and indirect connections with almost all European countries. The nearest train station is the one Split (www.hzpp.hr). It is situated next to the main bus station and the ferry port.
